Sapotaceae for the Flora of Tropical East Africa

Introduction
The Flora of Tropical East Africa is a descriptive account of the flowering plants and ferns native and naturalised in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. It is issued in fascicles comprising one plant family or conveniently sized parts of large families (the flora will be composed of 225 parts). The Flora of Tropical East Africa is prepared at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in close collaboration with the East African Herbarium, and in liaison with the University of Dar es Salaam, the University of Nairobi and Makerere University. The treatment for Sapotaceae recognises 13 genera (and describes an imperfectly known genus) and 44 species plus seven that are imperfectly known.
