Medicines and Vaccinations
The medical provision made for an expedition is, to a large extent, governed by personal choice of the participants. The following provides an account of what vaccinations we had and what medical supplies we took with us to Nepal. It is not intended to be an authoratative list, but should be a useful guide.
Vaccinations
Recommended vaccinations for working in the field in Nepal include:
Hepatitis A
Typhoid/Paratyphoid
Tetanus
Meningitis A & C
Diptheria
Rabies
Japanese Encephalitis
Hepatitis B is useful, but not essential. Maleria is very rare in Nepal and although anti-malerial drugs were taken on the expedition they were not used.
